About the Mystery School Path of Somatic Channeling

You are a direct conduit and vessel for divine energy.

Somatic Channeling is a modality and a process of opening up to receive this flow of energy, which allows the body to be moved automatically and involuntarily - a form of energy work. This results in psycho-somatic, spiritual and emotional opening. (full description here)

This opening initiates deep healing and spiritual awakening from within, through the body—without force or effort.

You may already know this. You may already be experiencing spiritual gifts, involuntary movement, and more. Or, you may have an intuitive nudge that you’re ready for real healing and spiritual growth.

This is a path to help you awaken and deepen your soul’s journey—a path of initiation.

Through structured practice in the form of 1:1 trainings, group classes, and community support, you can become both an initiate and practitioner of this deep and sacred work.

There are two levels of Somatic Channeling: the path of self-healing, and the path of healing others.

Our 6 Month Container focuses on Level 1 Somatic Channeling: Self-Work.

For 6 months, you will learn to open up your true self: to master energy healing through your own body, for yourself. This often results in a process of:

  • uncovering deep shadows

  • releasing stored emotion

  • healing intergenerational trauma

  • opening to spiritual gifts such as light language, verbal channeling, and more

Level 1 is characterized by 8 Stages of Development that correlate with the opening of the entire chakra system.

The first 6 months of our Mystery School is designed to take Initiates through this path of energy work, providing the framework for understanding this practice as a cohesive system and modality. You’ll experience channeling, healing and awakening - in community, with a team of support from experienced practitioners.

By the end of 6 months, you will receive Level 1 Initiate Certification, and you’ll be featured on the Somatic Channeling website.

Our 9 Month Container will initiate you as a healer for others.

You go through the same 6 Month process, but continue onwards—Level 2 is the process of shifting from Self-Work to performing Somatic Channeling on another.

By the end of 9 months, you will become a Somatic Channeling Level 2 Practitioner, able to offer this work in the world.

You’ll not only learn technique, but practical skills for becoming a working Somatic Channeling practitioner. Moreover, you’ll be featured on the Somatic Channeling website as a certified practitioner.

Final Practicum Retreat: this, in a sense, is the “graduation ceremony” for our time together. All 6 and 9 month students are welcome to join us for the retreat of a lifetime - where all the skills learned come together in real life, within community. The retreat training prepares you to step into the world as a master energy worker of high integrity.

*note - the retreat is a separate cost and is required for full Level 2 Certification.

6 Month Offering:

LEVEL 1 SELF-WORK INITIATE TRAINING

Level 1 Somatic Channeling is self-work: learning, advancing and mastering energy work on oneself. This is also a process of spiritual development, psycho-spiritual healing and energetic expansion.

Our 6 month container is a Level 1 Mystery School Training.

  • Every other week, meet with Taylor, the founder of Somatic Channeling, for one-on-one practice sessions over Zoom and/or in person. Taylor will offer instructive guidance and support along every step of your journey.

  • Once a month, you'll join the full cohort of practitioners-in-training for a combination of group processing, practice and curriculum learning. Topics include:

    • The nature and architecture of the energy field

    • Energy work techniques

    • Channeling & working with holding energy

    • Light Language

    • Grounding

    • Ethics

    • Spiritual concepts from Tantric, Hindu, Buddhist, New Age, Eastern Medicine and Indigenous perspectives

  • Separate from the monthly cohort training sessions, students will be offered extra support if needed by gaining access to the Somatic Channeling process group that meets consistently - where channels, initiates and practitioners-in-training can discuss how their practices are unfolding.

  • The core curriculum is founded on consistent practice, as well as readings & content to help you round out your perspective on Somatic Channeling, energy work, spiritual growth and more. Taylor will assign simple suggested homework exercises (practice & readings) between one-on-one sessions and cohort sessions.

  • You get to keep all the recordings so you can rewatch your training sessions and study more deeply

  • The curriculum will weave in channeled transmissions from Taylor and others for the group on the nature of Somatic Channeling

  • Written by Taylor Bratches, this training manual provides over 50+ pages of methodology, wisdom, lessons from the practice, and more.

  • After 6 months, the student will be offered a Somatic Channeling Level 1 Practitioner Training Certificate, qualifying that they have advanced the modality significantly enough on themselves to be called a Somatic Channeling Level 1 Initiate.

    The student will appear as an Initiate on the Somatic Channeling website.

  • At the end of 9 months, the student will have the opportunity to attend a practice-based Somatic Channeling Practitioner Retreat - a deep dive into study, play, exploration, practice, joy and relaxation with the Somchan cohort and previous alumni.

    Please note - the retreat is required for full Level 2 certification and is an extra cost.

WHAT YOU GET:

Level 2 Somatic Channeling is working on others: offering energy work to others, typically on a massage table. After a minimum of 6 months of Level 1 training, Level 2 training can be pursued.

Our 9 month container is a Level 1 & 2 Mystery School Training.

9 Month Offering:

LEVEL 1 & 2 PRACTITIONER TRAINING

WHAT YOU GET:

  • After 9 months, the student will become a Level 2 Somatic Channeling Practitioner.

    To become officially certified, the student must go through the 9 month process, and attend the Practicum retreat. After this process, the student will be offered a Level 2 Practitioner Training Certificate, qualifying that they have advanced the modality significantly on themselves and others, enough to be called a Somatic Channeling Level 2 Practitioner.

    Additionally, both Practitioners and Initiates will appear on the Somatic Channeling website with a bio, headshot, an link to their skills/offerings.

  • At the end of 9 months, the student will have the opportunity to attend a practice-based Somatic Channeling Practitioner Retreat - a deep dive into study, play, exploration, practice, joy and relaxation with the Somchan cohort and previous alumni.
